The 2019 Eisteddfod will be held from May 15 to June 6 2019.
The concert of selected prizewinners, showcasing the best of the best from the three weeks of performances will be held on Saturday May 15 in the Cowra Civic Centre.
The syllabus for the eisteddfod has been finalised, and is being prepared for printing.
Entries will close on March 4, 2019.
The Eisteddfod will cater for all areas of the Performing Arts, including sections for Vocal, Instrumental, Dance and Speech and Drama.
A highlight each year is the Patricia Fagan Aria championship section.
All disciplines will include restricted sections for the beginners through to open sections, championships and scholarships for the more advanced students.
There will be many sections that are open to schools and their students.
These include vocal and speech choirs, bands and ensembles, percussion, prepared speeches, character sketches, short skits, and school dance groups.
As always the committee will be looking to the people of Cowra to support the long running and successful Cowra Eisteddfod, through sponsorship, volunteers, and audience support for the competitors.
If you would like to be more involved in the eisteddfod the annual general meeting of the Cowra Eisteddfod will be held on Tuesday November 13 in the meeting room rear of the Library at 10am.
All interested persons are invited to attend.
