The Cowra Triathlon Club hopes to see a larger turnout to racing this season after making a number of changes.

The club launches its new season on Sunday, October 14 with three major changes, racing on Sundays, racing once a week, and the introduction of a longer race alongside the club’s traditional shorter distances.
Club member Mark Fisher explained that all other clubs in the central west race just once a month and all over the longer distance with great success.
“We hope to attract competitors from other clubs by offering the longer distance race,” Mark said.
The club will continue with the Kids Course, Beginners and 1 lap course but the old two lap course will be replaced with a four lap course comprising a 400m swim, 18km bike and 4km run.
The Cowra Club’s races for the season will be held on October 14, November 11, December 16, January 20, February 10 and March 10.
Cowra will host a interclub series race on Sunday, October 21.
