This year’s gardens are:
12 Narang Place
Originally developed in 1989, the garden has progressively remodelled since 2009. Nandia, camellias and gardenias feature in the north facing garden whilst the long, partially covered terrace supports an open section with wisteria and a fish pond surrounded by viola and ajuga.
The plant trading table and raffle will both be operating at this site.
St Raphael’s Catholic School Garden
The food garden was established in 2014 as a hands on learning experience for the school students. We also have established various environments including an arid zone, a warm, temperate rainforest area and a western facade of the blue mountains.
55 Brisbane Street
A delightful, neat garden featuring roses along the front fence and several, standard weeping plants. Many metal sculptures and various ornaments add interested to the overall picture.
217 Camp Road
The five acre block is situated on part of the old army/migrant camp site. As you meander through the “park” and enjoy the many trees, roses, iris, the pond and orchard, they know you will capture the feeling of peace and tranquility that the garden offers.
16 Battalion Drive
This garden was designed around privacy, with various native trees and shrubs planted above the retaining wall that curves around the front of the house. An assortment of roses and hardy plants line other parts of the garden which extend to a “man cave” and windmill.
62 Waratah Street
This is a small, easy care garden. Frosts last year killed a lot of plants so the owner now concentrates on frost hardy plants only. The front is a nice, neat garden while the back has lovely shaded areas with succulents and citrus and behind this is a nice vegetable garden.
“Holroyd” 17 Dawson Drive
The one acre property has mature, established trees scattered throughout. Extensive flowing gardens extend from the front to the rear boundary, planted with a variety of shrubs including camellias, azaleas, roses and conifers.
38 Dawson Drive
This garden features a large shade house, gazebo, trees, bearded iris, roses, camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons, salvias, orchids, native plants and bulbs. Set on one acre with winding paths all around, the garden is very colourful in spring.
Refreshments will be available at this site.
