Cowra Ladies Probus ready for 30th birthday celebrations

Our 30th birthday anniversary is fast approaching, which will be our next meeting on October 12. 

Members please note our meeting will begin at 10.30am as morning tea will not be served, due to our birthday luncheon, 12pm for 12.30pm. 

This meeting will be shorter than usual due to preparations for our special day. 

If members have any memorable items, photos, etc please bring along on the day. 

For the 30th anniversary, the stone is pearls, green is the colour and the flower is the rose, also please members wear your name badges. 

Due to our 30th celebrations, we will not be having a fashion parade this month. 

Grenfell Probus combined celebrated their 30th anniversary on September 17.

Members from both ladies’ and men’s Probus attended. 

Our last meeting held on September 14, our guest speaker was former Cowra lady, Nancy Watson, author of some wonderful fairy stories, having published three beautifully illustrated books. 

Nancy told of how she came to writing fairy tales, which was of most interest to us all, and took us back to our own childhood days. 

Our day trip to Harden and surrounds on October 30, $70 per person. 

Money due at this meeting, bus will be leaving depot at 9am, returning 5:15pm approximately. 

Members going to The Little Mermaid in Orange on November 3, $85 per person also due. 

Bus leaving depot 10am, returning at 6pm.
