Chor-Farmer have been coming to Cowra as part of their peace and Goodwill Tours of New Zealand and Australia every two years for the past 42 years.
The Cowra concert is the last of their 2018 tour having performed in Tauranga, Featherston, Nelson, and Dunedin in New Zealand, and Lobethal, Adelaide, on Tuesday night.
Led by Choir Founder, Conductor and Musical Director Mr Hiroshi Masumoto, along with pianist Ms Masako Yuyama and 26 graduates and students of the Tokyo University of Agriculture, the choir performed their 21st ever concert on Friday night.
The Choir members were reunited with their long time host families and will spent three nights in Cowra.
The choir also performed and held a wreath laying ceremony at the Cowra War Cemetery on Sunday morning.
Proceeds from Friday night’s performance go to the Cowra Seikei Student Exchange Programme, which this year is celebrating its 49th year of continuous 12 month exchange between Cowra High School and Seikei High School in Tokyo.
