The Chamber was recently recognised as the Most Innovative Business Chamber at the inaugural Wave Awards.
The inaugural Wave Awards ceremony were part of the 8point8 Regional Innovation and Smalll Business Conference held in Wagga Wagga.
The awards highlighted best innovation practice and those making a wave of difference in regional Australia.
Other winners recognised at the awards were from Wangaratta, Castlemaine in Victoria, Coffs Harbour and Launceston in Tasmania.
In May this year Cowra Business Chamber was named the Best Chamber in the Central West.
Over the past 12 months the Cowra Business Chamber has strengthened their committee with new members bringing fresh ideas and unique talent.
Cowra Business Chamber has also grown their membership by over 10% in the previous year as well as commencing a number of new initiatives.
One of the initiatives was starting Women In Business networking events.
The first event was held back in November and was so well received that the Chamber decided to hold them quarterly.
Another event they have introduced to assist businesses within our community grow and develop were Masterclass events.
Masterclass events focus around a different subject each quarter nominated by Chamber members.
Yet another new event is Tradezone focused around the trades and trade based businesses in Cowra.
