This year the students were joined by Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, who joined the students in dressing up to show of the theme of this year’s week “Find your Treasure”.
Cowra Public School Librarian Sheridan Oborn organised the event and thanked all the students and parents for putting so much effort into their costumes.
Principal Jenny Lewis said the parade was an important day on the school’s calendar.
“It’s something the whole school, including the staff embrace with enthusiasm,” she said.
“It is a really lovely way for us to connect with our community”.
Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, said the parade was a fantastic event and looked forward to returning for next year’s parade.
“Full credit to Cowra Public for their enthusiasm and passion which sees an event like this come to life,” she said.
“For encouraging students to find their favourite authors and bring those stories to life.
“It can only develop an appreciation and love for the written word which will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
