Australian Wool Innovation Limited and sheep Connect are holding a workshop for sheep producers in Cowra.

The workshop, Winning with Weaners, will be held at the Pridham Centre NSW DPI Research Station on Binni Creek Road on August 29 between 1pm and 5pm.

Presenter Rob Inglis from Elders Livestock, will discuss short, medium and long term impacts of poor weaner management on flock productivity.

Sheep producers will also learn to develop a weaner management plan for their weaners, including setting a target weaning weight, target weights at key times and feeding options.

This practical workshop will help farmers identify key management strategies that will assist in improving the performance of their merino weaners, thereby optimising their performance in flocks for their lifetime.

Cost of the workshop is $75 per person and includes afternoon tea and all workshop materials. To register visit  https://sheepconnectnsw.com.au/events/315/
