The Cowra ladies golf championships began this week on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 7 and 8. Thank you to generous sponsors Jo Bush and Jenny Armstrong for Tuesday’s round and The Breakout Brassiere for Wednesday’s day of play.

Tuesday winner of division one (0-24) was Trish Moerkerken with nett 75.

Division two winner (25+) was Julie Taylor with a nett 75. Nearest to the pin on the Fagan fifth and Jenaul Enterprises seventh greens was Cheryl McKeown and the Coogee Kelpie Stud on the fourteenth green was Lorraine Stubbing.

Raffle donated by Cheryl McKeown was won by Joan Roots. Wednesday winner division one (0-24) Sylvia Mc Cormack nett 73.

Division two winner (25+) Jo Bush nett 75 on a C/B. Nearest to the pin on the Fagan fifth green were Carmel Mansell and the Coogee Kelpie Stud 14th green was Annette Sutherland.

 Ball competition winners were Sylvia McCormack, Annette Sutherland, Jo Bush, Debbie Gumley and Carmel Mansell.

Winner of the raffle donated by Debbie Gumley was Jo Bush. Leaders of the championships first two rounds are as follows:

Division one scratch Cheryl McKeown 179, Carmel Mansell 185.  Handicap Sue Smith, Sylvia McCormack and Carmel Mansell 153.

Division two scratch Trish Moerkerken and Lorraine Stubbing both 200. Handicap Lorraine Stubbing 152 and Trish Moerkerken 154.

Division three scratch Julie Taylor 221 and Debbie Gumley 222.  Handicap Julie Taylor and Debbie Gumley both 155.
