Cowra Business Chamber President Jordan Core said the space will be used for a variety of programs.
“Cowra Business Hub intends on supporting three main programs from its new office space, the Cowra Business Accelerator, Cowra Business Incubator and the Cowra Employee UpSkill Program,” he said.
The Business Accelerator will be an online-based program in conjunction with Charles Sturt University, CenWest Innovate and the Next Stage Growth Program to support business growth.
“This will be achieved by providing a mentor specific to their industry, training and tool kits to build on their current understanding of business, and feedback on what they can change and do to excel at their new venture,” Jordan said.
The Cowra Business Incubator will assist residents on how to take that first step with their business idea.
“In conjunction with “Upstairs” Business Incubator and CenWest Innovate in Bathurst, we will host an Online and In Person Incubator program,” Jordan said.
“This program will empower locals to stand up and present their ideas to a board that will then help them develop a feasibility study and build on the idea. Successful start-ups from this program will become part of our on call Mentors to guide the next intake of Incubator participants.”
The Employee UpSkill Program will be delivered by organisations such as TAFE and Verto to help upskill employees in areas such as customer satisfaction and business basics.
