The next monthly meeting of the Country Women's Association – Cowra branch is scheduled for next Thursday, August 16 to be held in the Cowra Shire Council’s multipurpose room commencing at 11am.

After last month's meeting on July 19, members met for their half yearly lunch, to celebrate birthdays. An enjoyable time was had by all present.
The Cowra Branch will be 95 years old in November and is still continuing to fulfill the aims of the Association.
“We are always looking for new members, we are a small group who are aging and in constant need of new input,” president Jo Cochrane said.
“To give you an idea, the overall aims of the association are printed below.”
The aims of the CWA of NSW are:
(a) To bring all women and families together and form a network of support.
(b) To provide a forum for the voice of all women in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory.
(c) To improve conditions and welfare of all women and families especially in country areas.
(d) To support schemes which enhance the value of country living, especially health and educational facilities.
(e) To encourage development in regional areas and to increase the viability of rural communities and the environment.
(f) To provide a voice to Government at all levels.
(g) To promote International goodwill friendship understanding and tolerance between all people
