Bank manager of the Westpac Cowra branch Fiona Chew presented $500 to CINC’s Fran Stead and Marion Speechley on Thursday morning.
Ms Chew said she was proud to help.
“We put it to Westpac and they thought it’d be a great idea too. Then we contacted CINC; it’s a great initiative.”
CINC CEO Fran Stead thanked Westpac and labelled its support a great example of “locals supporting locals”.
“Every dollar is a step closer to the end goal and that is getting the crisis house up and running. When its driven by local people supporting us it’s really amazing and shows we’re getting the word out there,” Ms Stead said.
“Locals supporting locals is our vision and this is exactly it. When you look after your own in town that’s when it works.”
