Rotary members made the donation on Friday, July 27 and Kathryn Tindall from the Food Hall committee said the group was very appreciative.
“Absolutely over the moon, it is going to be so helpful for us,” she said.
“Already we’ve been able to accept a donation of frozen bread from someone in the community… and now we will be able to source frozen goods from Sydney and a variety of food, frozen vegetables, frozen meat.”
She said demand is growing.
“Our numbers are growing, a couple of weeks ago we had six new registrations in one day,” Kathryn said.
Cowra Rotary member Ian Wright said he’s been seen the good work done by the Food Hall for the past four years.
“I’ve got to know what goes on, I think it is a very worthy cause,” he said.
“It was very badly needed.”
