Sarah Hazel will be taking over the role of Social Support Coordinator from Jenny, and CSNS Manager Tracy Ford says she is the right person for the job.
“Social Support Service is for people aged over 65 that are referred through the My Aged Care system,” she said.
Tracy said the service is tailored towards those who need help before full support in-home.
“This is more about helping them socially, particularly those that are social isolated, so helping them with their grocery shopping, we have some group activities that can participate in if they wish too, we do some excursions every now and then.”
Tracy said they are always looking out for volunteers for the Social Support Service.
“Kristy will be the friendly face that you see every time you come into our main office,” Tracy said.
“She’s learning the ropes as far as where to refer people onto and that sort of thing.
“They will be wonderful assets to our organisation.”
