The son of Bon Hoffa broke through with an eye catching win at start 12 on Saturday, much to the delight of local punters at the Cowra Showground and trainer Danny Parsons who only had one horse in all day.
Pracey-Holmes and Agrovation had, until Saturday, linked for two fifths and a second over 1100m at Dubbo on May 28.
His recent form was enough for punters to send him out as favourite in Saturday’s Pepper Tree Farm Equine Clinic Maiden Plate (1100m), and he certainly didn’t let anyone down.
Pracey-Holmes urged Agrovation to the lead from barrier two and the duo kicked at the top of the straight to edge out Sovereign Default for Michael Plummer and Garry Bignell’s trained Little Leena in third place.
It was Parsons’ first trained winner since April 22 when Ridgi Ridge triumphed at Narromine, while for Pracey-Holmes it was the first of three wins for the weekend.
Wellington’s Michael Mulholland trained a rare quinella with Little May and Cadeyrn providing the thrill in the Breakout River Meats Benchmark 50 Handicap (1700m).
Making it a bigger thrill was the fact both stablemates were emergencies for the race, however received promotion following multiple scratchings.
It was Little May’s third win at start 52.
Billy Owen took the jockeys’ honours for the day riding a race to race double in races four and five.
Owen linked with Luke Pepper’s Keeper Girl in the McDonalds Cowra Maiden Handicap (1375m) before providing trainer Sarah Murray-Leslie with a win on Denim Street in the Cowra Shire Council Benchmark 64 Handicap (1375m).
No other jockey won multiple races.
