Emily Samuel, 46, called KFC Cowra to make a complaint and told a worker “I will come down and shoot you” resulting in staff shutting the store and calling police.
The Evans Street, Cowra resident was sentenced at the Local Court on Wednesday, June 20, after pleading guilty to a charge of intimation causing fear.
“There’s 10,000 consumer complaints made everyday but they don’t make threats of harm,” Magistrate Michael O’Brien said.
The threat occurred between 8.15pm and 8.52pm on February 12 this year after Samuel made a dinner order through the KFC app.
Samuel’s solicitor Mr Deldin described his client’s behaviour as “completely unreasonable”.
“She’s never owned a gun, she’s never had a gun,” he told the court.
“It’s a brain snap,” the Magistrate said.
