A big emphasis has been placed on games against Orange Hawks and Orange CYMS, the only two sides Cowra dropped games against in round one of the Group 10 competition.
Sunday’s clash with Hawks at Wade Park is a top of the table clash.
“It’s very important. If we can get the next three or four we’d be very happy and that’d set us up. But these two are the most important. And beginning with Hawks, they’re going to be tough,” Rainbow said.
Cowra was riding the wave of a five game winning streak before the general bye and a cancelled trip to Oberon due to snow.
Rainbow said it’s given him and his teammates a chance to recover from niggling injuries.
“I think the break has helped us a bit. We had a few blokes with some injuries and had the bye and we got away with not going to Oberon, it would have been freezing, and I think it’s helped us,” he said.
“We trained really well on Tuesday.”
The game’s set for a 2pm start.
