The morning tea didn’t end there though, with leftovers taken to Cowra Dance Factory and Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre for afternoon teas.
The money raised by the Cowra Veterinary Centre will provide transport and a nights’ stay at a local Cancer Council Lodge for people who need to travel for cancer treatment and pay for a cancer nurse to be available for an hour to offer expertise and support to those in need.
Veterinarian Kellie Seres said the Centre, “really would like to thank everyone who contributed; who either baked, ate, drank or donated”.
“Everyone has been touched by Cancer, as individuals or through a relative, a friend or a neighbour.
“At one time or another we need support, information, an advocate or a friend. This along with education, detection and treatment are the roles the Cancer Council hold.”
