THE prediction made earlier this week of weekend snow on Mount Canobolas has been widened by the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), with the areas now forecast to receive a white coating including Orange, Blayney, Lithgow and other parts of the Central West.

According to weatherzone.com.au, Sunday morning appears most likely, with the temperature tipped to fall to an icy -1 degrees in the early hours, and not rise beyond 4 degrees for the next 24 hours. While it is not expected to snow in Cowra  we’re expecting temperatures from a low of 2 to a high of just nine degrees.

On Monday, the BoM’s MetEye website predicted snow falling on Saturday at Orange’s highest point, as well as in small pockets around Oberon, Jenolan Caves and Yetholme.
