Cowra committee chair, Cr Judi Smith said the committee’s possible entries to date included Lachlan Valley Railway, the memorial tree avenue and RSL’s 100 years celebrations.
“We are struggling a little bit this year for entries in the various sections to do with everything from little reduction, recycling and heritage,’” Cr Smith said.
“While there are lots of great projects going on in the shire, particularly in the heritage and waste area, a lot of them are yet to come to fruition.
“They need to be finished before we can put them in for an award.
“Apart from the RSL’s anniversary we are struggling for an appropriate submission.
“If there is anyone who can think of something I’d be very grateful.
Submissions close mid July.
