A 17-year-old Orange woman has been fined $800 and disqualified from driving for four months at Cowra Local Court.

Dara Anne Kiely of Hartas Lane, Orange, failed to appear before the court charged with driving with a special range PCA and a provisional driver using a mobile phone while driving.
According to police facts, around 6am on Sunday, January 28 Kiely was traveling on the Mid Western Highway when she collided with the end of a roadside metal safety railing.
As a result of the impact the vehicle Kiely was driving rolled onto its roof causing a front wheel to partially break free from the vehicle.
Keily subsequently pulled herself from the vehicle and headed to a nearby house where the occupants called the emergency services.
Kiely was taken to Cowra hospital for treatment and a blood test. The test returned a result of 0.037 grams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.
Kiely told police she had picked up her phone to dial a number which distracted her attention for the time it took her to leave the road.
In relation to her drinking she told police she had 12 spirit drinks between 8pm on Saturday, Januray 27 and 1am on Sunday, January 28.
Low range PCA
A 43-year-old Cowra man has been fined $500 and disqualified from driving for four months at Cowra Local Court.
Damian Aubrey Perfrement of Phillips Street failed to appear before the court charged with driving with a low range PCA.
According to police facts around 1.50pm on Wednesday, February 21 Perfremewnt was stopped by the Cowra Highway Patrol on Macquarie Street for a random breath test.
He produced a positive test and during the stop told police, “I’ve had four drinks. I’m back off the Bathurst jail”.
A secondary test at Cowra police station returned a reading of 0.061 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
In relation to his drinking he told police he had four drinks between 11am and 12pm following his release from the Bathurst jail.
