Cowra is just that, with two caravan parks, a showground, a multitude of free camping options, amenities and the beautiful Wyangala Dam just a stone's throw away, Cowra is the perfect place for that next caravanning road trip.
Receiving some wonderful praise lately, the Cowra Van Park is one shining example of caravan friendly accommodation done right.
Jan and Lindsay Tod, two caravaners visiting the Cowra region stopped by the Cowra Visitor Information Centre after their stay at the Cowra Van Park, they just had to share their story.
"In the 11 years we've been travelling, that caravan park is the best, the cleanest, the most well presented that we've ever seen" Jan Tod said.
"It's the little things, the little niceties that made our stay so special, the management were so friendly and accommodating, I'd recommend it to anyone" Mr Tod said.
Manager of Cowra Tourism, Belinda Virgo supported the feedback supplied by Mr & Mrs Tod stating, “The team at the Cowra Visitor Information Centre also receive regular feedback from visitors to the Cowra Holiday Park and Wyangala Dam”.
“The visitors are acknowledging the quality of the facilities and service offered by our operators.
“We have also noticed a vast increase in feedback relating to our alternative camping grounds; the Cowra Showground and the Gooloogong camping facility, both offering a quality product to our visitors travelling with caravans throughout our region” Ms Virgo said.
“It's local businesses like this that help make Cowra as inviting and charming as it is, drawing visitors from far and wide to our wonderful region, visitors who will buy from our producers, stay with our accommodation providers, use our services and share their stories, just like Jan and Lindsay.
“Cowra has even seen the rise in popularity of camp-friendly events like Pitch-Fork Cowra and the Wyangala Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular, both set to take place over the June Long Weekend.
“If you have a story about a positive experience you've had in Cowra, whether it be at one of our great camping areas or otherwise feel free to contact the Cowra Visitor Information Centre on 02 6342 4333,” she said.
