Cowra’s ace Moz Brown dominated the Junior under-16s 125cc event and was undefeated in his five heats. The final was run with the four top points scorers with Maurice making a cracking start.
He was challenged by Connor Bailey who the fell in the process with Moz going on to win the final and keep his unbeaten record for the day in tact. Maurice was also placed third in the Junior under-16s 250cc class on the day.
The afternoon saw the big boys hit the track with some fast and tough racing. Cowra’s in form rider Zach Cook only dropped one point in the heats to go straight into the final with 14 points.
Two other Cowra riders joined him, Matt Gilmore (12 points) and Ben Cook (12 points) along with Kurri Kurri rider Josh McDonald (11 points). The final was all set to be a ripper with three local boys battling it out.
Zach Cook took off fast and was closely followed by Matt Gilmore with Josh McDonald and Ben Cook. Gilmore tried everything he could to pass Zach, but had no answer.
