Families enjoyed a visit from the Wiggles, face painting, jumping castle and a special lunch hosted by the CINC team.
The aim of the week is to celebrate the role that families play in Australian society.
The theme of this year’s National Families Week was Stronger families, Stronger communities.
The theme highlights the important role families play as the central building block for communities and delivers the message that community well-being is enhanced by family well-being.
CINC’s Marion Speechley said the day was great chance for people to meet new faces.
“It’s great to have the families come along and get together,” she said.
“The day is a great way to show there is no right or wrong family and that strong families do make strong communities.”
