An Rural Fire Service (RFS) spokesperson has praised the joint efforts of Cowra RFS crews and Cowra and Canowindra Fire and Rescue crews at a structural fire over the weekend.

According to the spokesperson the crews with the assistance of Cowra Council were able to contain the one structure.
“All the crews worked well together to contain the fire,” the spokesperson said.
“The commitment from the RFS and Fire and Rescue was great to see”.
Cowra Fire and Rescue Captain, Chris Murray, said they provided assistance in extinguish the fire and identifying hot spots with their thermal imaging cameras.
The RFS spokesperson said the cause of the fire has yet to be identified.
