Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an accident on Kendal Street on Thursday morning, resulting in a parked car being forced onto the footpath.

About 10.05am an 86-year-old driver of a white Toyota corolla sedan travelling east clipped the back of heavy vehicle while attempting to leave a parking space.
The vehicle veered over the median strip on Cowra’s main street and rammed into a parked car forcing it up the gutter and onto the footpath.
A 67-year-old Woodstock woman pedestrian was hit by the parked car which came to a halt against the front of a business premises, police said.
The 67-year-old received minor injuries and was taken to Cowra Hospital for assessment.
The driver was suffering from shock at the scene and was treated by paramedics.
“It appears to be driver error but that’s still to be determined,” Inspector Adam Beard of Cowra Police said.
“Police inquiries are continuing into the cause of the collision to see if any police action will be taken.”
A large crowd of curious onlookers lined the street.
Traffic was slowed but continued to flow despite a number of NSW Ambulance, NSW Fire and Rescue and Police vehicles and a tow truck responding.
Inquiries continue.
