Ada studied art in Wellington, New Zealand and the Central School of Art in London.
She has lived in Millthorpe for more than 20 years where she has a studio and shop open on Saturday’s.
Ada emphasises that colour is very important to her in expressing strength, hope and life through her landscapes.
She has had numerous one woman exhibitions of her paintings and pottery and also has designed for Sheridan’s and the National Trust and Industry and is often asked to open local art shows.
In 1998 she judged the Cowra Arts Council Exhibition. Ada has travelled regularly to Morocco, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Botswana and England which feature in her paintings, along with scenes from wild outback areas of Australia.
Her work is featured in the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, the Woollahra Council Collection, Goodman Fielder Collection as well as overseas diplomatic collections.
Bathurst Council chose two of her paintings to present to their Japanese Sister City.
Ada’s landscape paintings in vibrant colours have also featured on cards and placemats.
