Springdale Stud Farm, comprises 104.5 hectares (258.2 acres) of scenic and highly productive Belubula River frontage country – the property has been developed as a thoroughbred horse breeding property and also an irrigated lucerne farm.
Located approximately 5km west of Canowindra, the farm enjoys a 1.7km frontage to the Belubula River and comprises approximately 57 hectares of irrigated alluvial river flats backed by a further 47 hectares of arable, well developed and highly productive red/brown slopes country.
Over the years the main focus of Springdale Stud Farm has been the breeding of thoroughbred and standard bred horses with possibly the best known standard bred being Inter Dominion winner “Koala King”, whilst many thoroughbred yearlings have been bred and sold at annual yearling sales.
The scenic and most impressive stud farm is accessed via a tree-lined driveway, with double fenced irrigated paddocks on either side, leading to the 4 bedroom brick homestead with its single bedroom flatette – situated in established elevated gardens, and close to the outstanding brick horse complex, with its main working area under cover and including 6 stables and out yards, round yard, tack rooms, office, amenities rooms, separate grooms quarters, undercover truck bay, and also 12 day yards with shelters, 6 smaller horse paddocks and a parade ground.
“We would expect Springdale will sell in a range of $3.3m to $3.6 million”, Meares said.
The property is being offered for sale by Expressions of Interest, with tenders closing 12 noon, April 11, 2018.
Chris Meares for marketing agents Meares & Associates said they are seeing market conditions where very few quality rural investment opportunities are available – therefore the sale should create significant interest from the horse world, as well as commercial lucerne farmers or rural lifestyle investors”.
