Andrew Molloy has nominated Zarhron’s five-year-old brother This Is Livin’, while Danny Parsons has thrown stabelmates Raise A Drop and Sonic Girl in the mix.
Both This Is Livin’ and Raise A Drop have gathered momentum thanks to strong campaigns to begin the new year.
This Is Livin’ has won three of his last five outings having broke through for his maiden victory in December.
Raise A Drop hasn’t finished worse than second in his past four races which includes a win over 1375m on Japan Cowra Cup Day, January 21.
While Sonic Girl is aiming to get back to form having not won a race since May last year.
She’s since had two cracks at Highway Handicaps in the city and ran 10th and eighth.
Twenty-six horses in total have been nominated by trainers across the central west for Sunday’s Country Championships heat.
Mack Griffith’s trained Mudgee-based duo Most Exalted and Schedule are the highest rated runners and will have the advantage of racing at their home track.
The final field will consist of 14 horses with four emergencies.
It’s a country showcase meeting meaning a minimum of $30,000 prizemoney is on offer in each race.
This Is Livin’, Raise A Drop and Sonic Girl are all among nominees in other races on the eight-race program.
