Local Woody Woodpeckers were captained by Brady Kurtz with Team Manager, ex-international Mick Poole.
Rohan Tungate headed the GM Australia team with Team Manager, also an ex-international Phil Herne.
The Peckers hit the lead early, leading 21-15 until the turning point of Heat 7 with Team Manager Phil Herne electing to use the black and white tactical ride for GM Australia on Victorian rider Jaimon Lidsey which paid off with Jaimon taking the win and partner Cooper Riordan second scoring an 8-1 against the Peckers.
The peckers didn’t seem to be able to regain their momentum to catch GM Australia who kept the lead to the end of heat 15 with 49 points and Woody Woodpeckers three points behind on 46.
GM Australia rider Jack Holder took a nasty fall in heat four and withdrew from the meeting.
Jack has a suspected broken collar bone and the club wishes Jack a speedy recovery.
