Cowra Branch Librarian, Caroline Eisenhauer, said the library regularly had people asking for help to set up an email account or to use a tablet or smart phone.
“We have been able to arrange short courses that meet the most common requests for assistance,” Caroline said.
“Bookings are now open for sessions in February and March.
We need to have eight participants to make it worthwhile to run each one so it is essential that participants book in early.
“If someone is unable to attend we ask they let us know as soon as possible. Then we can give the place to the next person on a waiting list.
“As we receive funding through the Telstra Digital Initiative and the State Library of NSW full classes show the need for the program in Cowra.
“All the classes were popular last year,” she said.
The free classes cover the following topics and will be held from 10am – 12pm at Cowra Library:
- February 14: Introduction to Internet Part 1
- February 21: Introduction to Internet Part 2
- February 28: Introduction to Email
- March 7: Introduction to iPads
- March 14: Introduction to Social Media
