The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting possible showers each day for the next five days but if they do materialise they will provide only temporary relief.
Cowra can look forward to a very warm lead up to Christmas according to the Bureau with temperatures expected to reach a top of 39 degrees on Monday after an overnight low of 21 degrees and a top of 38 degrees on Tuesday after a very warm overnight low of 24 degrees.
The rising temperature will be accompanied by extreme UV warnings.
While UV radiation is not related to how hot or cold it is the warning for the coming week is extreme and if you are outdoors you should take extra precautions to protect yourself from exposure to the sun.
Sun protection is recommended from 8:40am to 5:00 pm each day with the UV Index predicted to reach 13 which is an extreme warning, one of the highest possible warnings.
