- President Sue
At our meeting, member and Emergency Team Volunteer, Sue Sharp, was able to share news of Australian Red Cross work in Western NSW including provision of daily phone calls to people who are isolated and at risk of accident or illness, to give them reassurance and contact through Red Cross Calling and Telecross.
Red Cross is also involved in providing support in emergencies including helping communities be better prepared and stronger, as extreme weather events become more frequent.
The next meeting of the Cowra Branch is planned for Monday, December 11, this time at the Cowra Bowling Club restuarant, 12.30pm for 1pm which will include members purchasing lunch as they choose.
As the Branch waits for cooler weather, the first meeting in 2018 is set for Monday, March 12 in the RSL Rooms, Brisbane Street.
Visitors and new members are always welcome to our meetings.
