This Flood Watch is a “heads up for possible future flooding and is NOT a Flood Warning.
A cold front from the Southern Ocean will approach New South Wales at the end of the week, and interacting with warm, humid air to generate widespread rain with embedded thunderstorms.
Southern and central districts of New South Wales are forecast to receive the most rain, with some areas likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during Friday and Saturday.
The weather system has the potential to cause minor riverine flooding as well as local flooding from Friday onwards.
