The owners of Cowra Veterinary Centre, Dr Peter Launders and Dr Kellie Seres, are very proud of the new hospital which has been open for one month now.
Many local businesses were involved in the building and fit out of the clinic so the Open Day is a chance to see what a great job our local tradies do.
When asked why they took the difficult step of relocating the long established practice from the previous location in Darling Street, Dr Launders said there were a number of reasons.
“While the previous location was purpose built as a vet clinic, it was done quite a while ago and standards required by veterinary licensing bodies, as well as client expectations, have changed significantly over that time,” he said.
“Since purchasing the business, Kellie and I have been focused on continually improving the standards of care that we offer to our patients.
“Working in a brand new purpose built and painstakingly planned veterinary hospital was the best way to take a quantum leap forward in the veterinary care and treatment that we can offer to our clients and their patients”.
A gold coin donation will be requested for fun activities such as the jumping castle, sausage sizzle and Santa pet photos. All proceeds raised will go to Cowra Pet Rescue, a volunteer organisation that works to rehome unwanted pets in our area.
Peter and Kellie would like to convey their appreciation to a number of local organisations, individuals and businesses (including Skinners Butchery, Cowra Hot Bake, Bryants Packaging, Cowra Dogwash, Holmwood Wreckers, Luke Sellenthin, Cowra Show Society, Louise Buckley and Cowra Information & Neighbourhood Centre) who have donated supplies or volunteered their time for the Open Day.
In addition to tours of the new hospital, there will be lucky door prizes, goodie bags, helium balloons for the kids, an animal nursery and educational displays.
