Over 70 people were present, including several returned servicemen and members of the National Servicemen’s Association.
A short ceremony was held, and was then followed by a BBQ lunch provided by the Woodstock Soldiers Memorial Trust
The ceremony was centred around the newly erected flag pole in the Park, a project recently completed by members of the local community and funded by the Cowra Shire Council. This project is one part of efforts by members of the Woodstock community to revitalise and improve the Park
The Woodstock Soldiers Memorial Park has been part of the history of the Woodstock district since the 1880’s and was dedicated as a Soldiers Memorial Park in 1922.
