The grant is one of for six heritage projects in the Cootamundra electorate, according to Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke.
Ms Cooke said the special State Government heritage funding was designed for local government, businesses and community organisations to reactivate and preserve local heritage spaces and precincts.
“These grants acknowledge and support the vital role owners and managers of locally listed heritage items play in protecting our local heritage.”
A new kitchen wing at the Log Cabin will replace the current fire damaged kitchen with a new kitchen compliant with building, access and food regulations, and incorporate a change room for stage performances.
Ms Cooke said overall the appearance of the hall will be restored and use of the Log Cabin will be increased.
“This funding means we’re giving more people the opportunity to appreciate their local history,” Ms Cooke said.
