Last month, the Cowra branch of the country women's Association of NSW held their 94th annual meeting.

The meeting was well attended and after their ordinary meeting in the morning, followed by lunch the Cowra CWA ladies welcomed a new visitor, Margaret, to chair the election of office bearers.
Margaret is a member of the Association and had recently moved to Cowra from Ingleburn, where she was a member of Ingleburn CWA branch.
Being happy to accept the responsibility, Margaret then called the nominations (after all positions had been declared vacant).
All three current executive being, President – Josephine Cochrane, Secretary – Florence Lave and Treasurer, Mrs Isabel Bensley OAM werel returned unopposed.
Other positions filled were, Vice Presidents – Norma Power and Roslyn Woods, agriculture and environmental – Roslyn Wood, International – Florence Laver, Cultural – Heather Woods, Welfare of members – Norma Power, publicity – Josephine Cochrane.
Two positions were not filled however, they will be chosen at next month's meeting. Details in a future edition of the Guardian.
