Cowra's bowlers proved up to the challenge with Mac Webster and Sammy Austin taking the new ball and returning figures of 2-4 and 0-9 respectively from their four overs each.
Cowra's enthusiasm in the field was undeniable, and the first change bowling figures reflected that.
Jaxon Greenaway and Rohan Wilson rolled two more Young batsmen between them and conceded next to no runs, finishing with 1-1 and 1-5 respectively from their four over spells.
This miserly trend continued with Caleb Worth (2-9), Jackson McLeish (0-2), Caleb Haddin (1-0), Michael Smith (0-9) and Brad Bond (1-1) each conceding fewer than 10 runs.
At drinks Young had only reached 25 runs, adding only another 16 runs before being bowled out in the 25th over.
Openers Mikey McNamara (23 not out) and Will Harris (11 not out) saw off Young's gun opening bowlers and then made light work of the small total, which they passed in the 17th over.
Cowra under 14s have now won two from two, after accounting for West Wyalong in Cowra in round one of the Lachlan Council Intertown competition a week earlier.
Next game for the Ken McNamara coached side is Sunday December 10 against Forbes in Forbes.
Through November there are scheduled four intercouncil matches where a number of Cowra players in the Marc McLeish coached Lachlan under 14s side will feature.
