Holding a small party on Wednesday afternoon, volunteers past and present came together to celebrate the group’s achievements, including a cake for founder Len Crowe.
“Along with Helen Barker, we thought it was needed, the kids enjoy it,” Len said.
“It’s getting stronger all the time.”
Len spent 21 years as President and said it all started off with a few donations and half a dozen helmets.
“I’m happy with the set up now, I come down every now and then to have a look,” he said.
The group now caters for 45 riders on 13 horses, who are owned or leased to RDA or brought in by owners in town.
There are also a wide variety of volunteers, with the youngest being only 16 years old.
They are always on the hunt for more volunteers so contact cowra@rdansw.org.au if interested.
