This year to celebrate the Cowra Education Foundation (CEF) committee is holding a Luncheon at the Cowra Golf Club with a calcutta raffle, sweeps and the festivities getting under way from 12 noon on Tuesday, November 7. There will be a prize for the best hat of the day and a lucky door prize draw.
You are invited to join the fun and help raise money for scholarships to be awarded to students from Cowra who may wish to finish their secondary education, undertake an apprenticeship, attend a TAFE course or take up a university position in their chosen career.
Over the past years $60,000 has been awarded to our local students to help them with their education.
Three scholarships are intended to help support these young men and women realise their true potential by alleviating some of the financial burden they may encounter.
Tickets are available from The Closet on 6342 3478, the Golf Club on 6342 2299 or Joan Hurst on 0454 552 098. Tickets are $45 per head and men and women are welcome to don the "glad rags” and support this worthy organisation
