Each year the money raised from this Street Stall funds Citizenship Prizes at five local Cowra schools, as well as donations to the Cowra Eisteddfod, Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul.

The September monthly meeting had been the occasion of the official visit to the Cowra Inner Wheel Club by Janet Power the A50 District Chairman.
District Chairman Janet spoke about how friendship had given added purpose in her life. “Friendships can be the ties that see us through”.
Janet then inducted new member Chris Murphy and presented a Certificate of Appreciation to member Barbara Hitchins for her service and friendship over 40 years.
Barbara had joined Inner wheel as the wife of Cowra Rotarian Col in 1970 and served as President in 1983-84. No longer is membership restricted to women related to a Rotarian.
Now membership of Inner wheel, one of the largest Women’s Voluntary organizations in the world, is open to all community minded women.
Women working together to make a difference and improve lives. Women who understand the importance of friendship and personal service, women who are part of a network of friendship embracing 103 countries.
Inner Wheel gives the opportunity to members throughout the world to get to know each other, thus contributing to international friendship and understanding.
The next meeting of the Cowra Inner Wheel Club will be held in the Multipurpose room next to the Cowra Library on Monday, October 16 at 12 noon (bring a sandwich) for 12.30pm.
New members are very welcome. Contact Correspondence Secretary Sue Brown at 6342 1424 or iiw.au.cowra@gmail.com
