The Sakura Matsuri Festival was held last weekend with Cowra Japanese Garden Manager, Shane Budge, saying the event went brilliantly.

Mr Budge said about 2000 people walked through the garden during the festival
“It was a really successful weekend, the team had the place looking great,” he said.
“The weather was fantastic, the entertainment was fantastic, we’ll have a week to recover and we’ll start planning for next year,” he said.
Mr Budge thanked all involved in this year’s festival.
“Thanks to our staff and team, they put in a huge effort so it could all run smoothly,” he said.
“Our volunteers, all the stall holders and entertainers, David Simpson and Kumiai-Ryu for providing mats for the martial arts demonstrations, the Japanese Ambassador Sumio Kusaka and the Deputy Consul-General of Japan Hideaki Matsuo, Geoff Walker for MC-ing and Essential Energy for fixing our car park lights.
