Never before has Woodstock hosted such high calibre axeman at their annual event. This guarantees extraordinary spectator value for all those interested in timbersports.
The three champions to contest the Woodstock event are George Quigg, Brad Delosa, and Dale Ryan. An additional 12 choppers will be competing also.
George Quigg commenced woodchopping in 1961. He has three world titles to his name in 325 mm Treefelling event.
Dale Ryan has been chopping in the ring since the age of seven. He won a world title in 1997 at the age of 20. Dale is regarded as one of the best all-round axemen in Australia and has been competing for the past 40 years.
Brad Delosa has many titles to his name including 2009 World Champion in 375mm standing block, NSW champion of champions (10 times), 2013 Stihl Timbersports World Champion, 2014/2015/2017 Stihl Champions trophy winner, part of the winning world championship team in 2011/2014/2015/2016.
Prime viewing positions available, the woodchopping will commence at 10am.
With 5 events listed including a tree event, a relay will complete the event listing.
Once again Woodstock will be keeping up with the appearances of everything ‘Royal’ .
This year the show welcomes the 2017 Land Royal Showgirl Ms Maisie Morrow to officially open the 71st Woodstock Memorial Show.

Rob Bast is a self taught sculptor form the Yarra Valley in Victoria Australia.
He works with various materials such as wood, steel, ice and stone.

On show day ALL CHILDREN under 15 enter the show for FREE, a concept introduced in 2016 for their 70th birthday is set to continue.
Children’s novelty events kick off at 10.45am with free entry, sack races, three legged races and much more.
