
A 37 year-old Cowra woman who police tried to assist getting home while she was intoxicated ended up kicking an officer in the face over the weekend.

The assault on police happened after police were called to a hotel at 1.45am on Saturday, July 29.
At the time hotel staff were attempting to clear the hotel when the woman assaulted the staff.
The staff managed to get her to the footpath and police were called.
Due to her intoxication she was conveyed to a friend’s place in Cowra.
Police will alleged that after she was assisted from the police vehicle she became abusive.
Following an argument she was arrested as an intoxicated person.
Police said she then became abusive and aggressive towards police, kicking out at police striking a police officer in the head and then punching a police officer in the mouth.
She was arrested and taken to Cowra police station and charged with assault police, resist police and offensive behaviour.
