Cowra students Sienna Grant, Kiah Murray, Shiloh Ballard and Kemp Riches all joined Middy Nakajima in planting their trees.
This brings the total of trees planted in the Avenue to 44. Councillor Judi Smith said the trees were an important symbol of the friendship between Japan and Australia.
“This is a commitment to the ongoing fostering of warm relations the everyone in the Shire takes great pride in,” she said.
Middy Nakajim said he was very happy to be involved with the tree plantings.
“Every year the number of local participants is growing and I hope we can keep doing it in the future and that these tree plantings bring a good future for both of us,” he said.
