The Open Day forms part of TAFE NSW Open Week, where 130 TAFE NSW locations across the state will collectively highlight their extensive facilities, course offerings, employer partnerships, world-class training and technology.
Cowra’s Open Day presents a great opportunity for one-on-one course advice, and to meet the teachers from local TAFE NSW campuses to discuss training opportunities. Highlights in Cowra include campus tours and a free barbecue lunch.
Potential students who attend the Open Day will also have the chance to view interactive live demonstrations and signature events that are being held right across the state.
These include customised car painting, posy-making workshops, tips for building fashion portfolios, a fresh-cooking masterclass, and a Green Gate Organic Farm produce tour.
The first state-wide TAFE NSW Open Week, held in January, attracted more than 10,000 attendees to 1,300 events, with a further 26,000 people watching online via Facebook Live events.
“Whether you are looking for a career you love, skills to score a promotion at work, or a vocation change, TAFE NSW offers more than 1,200 on-campus and online courses, providing flexibility that allows students to balance their study, work and family commitments. We provide skills for today’s jobs and future careers,” College Team Leader Sylvie White said.
