Cowra Social Support Coordinator, Jenny Friend, said they enjoyed supporting the Cancer Council through the morning tea.
“We do this every year as our way of giving back to the community, as Cancer Council provides essential services to many people in Cowra,” she said.
“Our guests were served with scrumptious cakes, slices and sandwiches, all donated by staff and carers.
“We also had some slice and cake donated by a neighbour.
“We had raffles, guessing competitions, and donation tins around the room.
“We would like to thank all those who donated on the day, and to those who came along and said hello and had a cuppa and a chat,” she said.
Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council’s leading fundraising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind.
