The Australian National Single Vineyard will be judged by Louisa Rose, chief wine maker from Yalumba in South Australia.
Cowra Wine Show committee member Jenni Fagan said there would be a familiar face heading the judging for the Cowra Wine Show.
“We are really thrilled to have Russell Cody, who will be Panel Chair for the Single Vineyard then will be Chairman for the Cowra Wine Show later in the week,” she said.
Mr Cody has been the chief judge for the shows over the past couple of years.
The always-popular Cowra Wine Show Public Tasting will take place on Saturday, August 5 with tickets available now.
Tickets can be purchased on Tuesdays and Fridays from the Cowra Showground Office, calling 6342 1977 or by emailing cowrawineshow@bigpond.com
“Limited tickets are available,” Mrs Fagan said.
The Trophy Presentation will take place on August 19 with tickets on sale shortly.
“We’ll have food matched to the wine,” Mrs Fagan said.
“Entries are coming in already.”
Mrs Fagan said none of this would be possible without the continued support of the hundreds of volunteers who spare their time and effort throughout August.
“We have all these shows and it wouldn’t be possible without volunteers,” she said.
“We have people who wash the glasses, pour the wine, we have wine stewards, they’re wonderful.”
Cowra Tourism will also be putting together a package for the event.
