We thank the Croquet Club members for the use of their room however our numbers have increased and we have outgrown it.
It was a busy time last month.
Geraldine and Jenny laid a beautiful wreath they made for Anzac Day and Sunday morning members joined other branches for Women Walk the World at the Japanese Garden to the lookout followed by morning tea and friendship at the café.
In the afternoon four members attended the movie “Jackie” as a cultural activity.
Our next “girls night out” will be Wednesday, May 31 at the Imperial Hotel 6pm for 6:30pm
Three members will attend the State Conference at Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast from May 21 to 25. Two members attended the South Pacific ACWW conference in New Zealand.
Jenny gave a very interesting report on the Desert Quandong also known as the desert peach fruit.
Meryl reported on a very successful Handicraft Day in Boorowra, where Canimbla branch scooped the pool.
Three dozen necklaces were made for Christmas Child boxes at our last craft day. The Beanie Exhibition at the Gallery is worth seeing.
The competition winner was Geraldine.
Next meeting is May 11th at the Showground at 1:30pm. Please note change in time for this month due to St Raphael’s Ladies Interdenominational Morning Tea. New members and visitors are always welcome
